Chapter Eight - Movies

1. The increasing amount of sex and violence in films is because society accepts whatever Hollywood gives us. Hollywood creates films that are exciting films that exaggerate the real world. They do so to create a shock value and to increase their own profits. The increase of sex and violence in films is a major factor for the increase in sex and violence in the real world. Society accepts what we are given and then follows what it accepts.

2. To make a box office hit in 2009 I would need to have a great, original, well written script. I would be important to have a great cast, maybe a few well known actors to get some more attention. Also it is important to have good cinematographers, costumes, set design, etc. Basically I would need to have good pre-production, production, and post-production teams.
In addition it would be crucial to have a lot of good advertising. This would include having posters, time slots to advertise and show trailers. I would need to make sure to get the word out about my film and build up excitement and anticipation. That's how I would make a box office hit in 2009.
